Why we choose soy
Soy wax is derived from vegetables (soybeans) and paraffin wax is derived from petroleum (a refined gasoline product). We were looking for a natural, renewable resource that was sourced here in the United states.
Wood Wicks
Our wood wicks are not only unique, but are also made from lumber sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified mills in the United States. The FSC is dedicated to promoting responsible forestry and ensures the mills are meeting the highest environmental and social standards.
Fun Fact
Here is an interesting/fun fact about the history of soy, soy was invented by a group of Purdue college students in 1996. The students had to develop a birthday candle using a renewable resource.
